Meet, HNin Nie

I'm HNin Nie, a multidisciplinary artist in Charlotte, North Carolina with an associate's degree in Fine Arts from Central Piedmont Community College. My primary focuses are painting and sculpture, however my work draws a ton of inspiration from illustration. This is especially true when I blend animation and text to tell stories. My art is a reflection of my experiences as an Asian woman in America, which I distill into playful palettes and relatable stories. I also extend empathy to objects, humanizing them to encourage a deeper connection with our world. In my creative exploration, I embrace the magical and the mundane by anthropomorphizing my subjects. My art invites you to rediscover the enchantment in everyday life and to nurture empathy for both the animate and the inanimate.
